Melissa officinalis. Lemon balm is an heirloom herb that grows much like mint, except far less invasive. It has a citrusy smell with a touch of mint and is amazing in teas. Used to help soothe symptoms of anxiety, depression, and the common cold, this herb is loaded with antioxidants and vitamins as well as essential oils that should find their place in anyone’s tea garden. Home-grown tea is far better than anything from the store since it is picked at peak freshness.
Zones 5-8
I love how cute the packaging is for the seeds, and all of my seeds looked great! The ones I planted germinated very quickly and look amazing.
Have been very happy with all seeds purchased ( great germinatin ) and love the videos
I started these indoors and they germinated well, can’t wait until spring/ summer
I know its not supposed to be "as invasive as mint" but I had one plant that almost became a shrub in a raised bed. Not too long after runners made their way into the yard, and we had Lemon Balm growing in the grass. Luckily we could keep it in check with the lawnmower. I'd put this one in a planter on the patio where it's fully contained. Nature finds a way.
I planted several of these in my garden beds. They have done wonderfully. Here in 6a, the lemon balm comes back every year bigger and more beautiful. I love it as a light summer tea. My kids just love breaking off leaves and crushing them for a wonderful scent. Lemon balm seems to be pretty well mannered for a mint!

I wasn’t expecting that much garlic. My box was full of soft neck and hard neck.
They are doing beautifully. I can't wait for the spring!
As a homeschooling project, my seven year old grew this cauliflower, which is his favorite vegetable. He entered it into the county fair and won a first place prize. Easy to grow, and kept covered with a mesh fabric. Purchased the same seeds again, this time trying winter sowing in a raised garden bed with 6ml plastic hooped over top. Starting to head out again even if the outdoor temps are 30-40 during the day and 30-20 at night
I had missed out on the opportunity to buy garlic for fall planting. I happened to hop on the website randomly one morning and see the garlic grab boxes so I immediately purchased! I'm so thankful I did. This is my first year planting garlic in Oklahoma and I cannot wait to harvest next year!
I planted my garlic in October. I can’t wait to see how they turn out next summer.
