Trialing dozens of other, "sexier" and more expensive paste varieties, grew this as an afterthought. Put in a 3 gallon pot and stuck on a woodpile. And what a surprise! Pound for pound, the most productive paste I've ever grown. Just hanging with fruit. Must've gotten at least five full pounds from that amazing plant in the little pot on the woodpile. Incredible.
These are great producers for sauce....a little smaller then a roma but they put out tons of tomatoes. Highly recommend!
2024 was my first year growing these and they are definitely my favorite! Great taste, high yield, and a very healthy plant. We had a very dry year and these did great despite rare supplemental watering. I'll be growing these every year, for sure!
