Winter Vine. This variety is a winter squash that will produce between 5 and 8 squash per plant. Fruits will weigh between 15-40 pounds apiece, with a beautiful deep blue color to the flesh. The skin of this variety is tough, but once you cut through it the flesh is meaty, thick, and well worth the effort. It keeps remarkably well, lasting several months and often into early spring if stored properly!
Everything I planted so far germinated! Hope they help keep the squash bugs away from my garden and bonus if we get some produce! 😄
I grew 6 seeds with 100% germination rate! Appreciate MIgardener's fair prices and quality seeds.
I've bought these seeds multiple times from MIGardener. Shipping is always quick, prices are great and I don't know that I've ever had seeds not to germinate. I use the Hubbard squashes as a trap crop to protect my cucumbers and other squash plants, and they generally work like a charm!
It's too early to to sow these Blue Hubbard squash seeds, but I am so excited to finally have them in my collection. (They always sell out before I order!) They are reported to be a great trap plant for those pesky squash bugs so, fingers crossed, I'll get to enjoy all the other varieties of squash this year.
I love MI Gardener for their great prices and free shipping on seed orders!
I eat slices of the squash raw, absolutely delicious

I grew this in a straw bale garden in 2025 and really enjoyed it. It grew amazingly well and was beautiful, so I purchased more for 2026. Michigan zone 6b.
I have grown these for the last few years and they are hands down my favorite. I like romas and firm tomatoes. These remind me of mini romas. These are less prone to splitting, super easy to harvest and has a super great flavor and very meaty. YUM!
The cloves are large, full and heavy. Of the two cloves I kept (shared 2 with my daughter), 12 were large enough to plant, 1 will be consumed.
Received 9 or 10 large, nice quality cloves of elephant garlic. Packaged nicely. Planted them right up and looking forward to seeing what sprouts next season.
Sicilian was by far the best clove Size and quality
