Amish Paste are a wonderful way to add an indeterminate paste tomato into your garden so you’ll consistently have a nice meaty tomato all summer long.
They are growing extremely well, the plants are probably around 6 feet tall now in the middle of August and they were started indoor in April. The tomatoes are almost as big as my hand. There’s tons of tomatoes on each plant. They’re going to be made into salsa and tomato sauce for pizza and spaghetti sauce.
This was my first year planting and these did not disappoint. So many tomatoes, even in the Missouri heat. I will plant again.
Amish Paste is my favorite tomato and I've grown them every year since ordering from MIGardener a few years ago. Great not just for paste, but also for slicing, salads, and salsa. Very productive. At the end of the season, I wash and core them and freeze them whole in quart bags. Then use them to make chili and fajitas throughout the year.
Great germination. I was late getting transplanted and then had trouble with a pest. I hope that we'll be able to produce some that are pest free soon.
