Rio Grande Tomato

These survive Texas conditions better than any variety I've tried and have become my standard. We routinely suffer 105F-plus temperatures and an annual drought that lasts from June to late Sep or early Oct. I grow tomatoes for sauce.

Plant has done very well and is producing nice fruit in our hoop house. I have 3 in a raised bed and it's doing well. Looking forward to seeing how the tomatoes develop. So far, very nice.

The description of these sounded like what I was wanting. I won't be planting them until this coming spring, but I have high hopes!

Germination was great and now the plants are strong. I just hope I didn't start too late. Texas heat can be a problem

They do produce a very meaty tomato and a lot of them. I am very pleased with them. I plan to use them to make homemade sauces used for to make spaghetti sauces.
