Ocimum basilicum. Licorice basil is part of the Thai basil family and is also called anise basil. It is named for its strong but pleasant flavor. The leaves grow to a bright green with purple accents, and the flowers are also edible! Try this herb in Indian and Mediterranean cuisine.
Another great product from MIG. I love growing basil and this licorice basil is great. Love the smell. MIG is my go to for seeds.
Super happy with my order. Thank you and I will be back.lol
I haven't used this basil yet.
So excited for this one! I’ll have a full compliment of Basil this year!

These were cut on April 22nd and planted April 23, 2025. They came up on May 4th. I'm in central SD, zone 4b. Next year, I'll get more!
Hard to leave a review just planted them.. but over all I was pleased when they arrived ❤️
I wasn't sure it would survive when I planted it, but it is growing. Very happy with my purchase
I immediately set this plant outside to begin hardening off. After about 2 weeks, I planted it in it's dedicated grow bag until I get a more permanent planter, and I must say it is living life. It has grown so much since I received it. I believe I'm going to remove the blossoms this year to continue promoting healthy growth.
Love this. I collect stickers on my garden notebook for fun and inspiration and this spoke to me.
