AnnualAcmella oleracea. Known as the toothache plant, this gumdrop-shaped variety has natural properties that will numb the tongue and mouth to ease discomfort. Its shiny green leaves, bold yellow flowers, and bushy growth habit are perfect for growing in pots.

Fun little numbing plant! Unique appearance with a topical numbing attribute. I also seek out the red and yellow variety, occasionally referred to as Doll's eyes!
If you deal with tooth aches a lot this plant helps out. It is also a prolific flowering, easy to grow herb that a lot of pollinators seem to like. MIgardener has excellent prices as well.

These were cut on April 22nd and planted April 23, 2025. They came up on May 4th. I'm in central SD, zone 4b. Next year, I'll get more!

I wasn't sure it would survive when I planted it, but it is growing. Very happy with my purchase
I immediately set this plant outside to begin hardening off. After about 2 weeks, I planted it in it's dedicated grow bag until I get a more permanent planter, and I must say it is living life. It has grown so much since I received it. I believe I'm going to remove the blossoms this year to continue promoting healthy growth.
