Originating in the Mediterranean, this dwarf basil variety is perfect for your container garden or kitchen counter. It is an easy-to-grow annual that develops into an attractive bushy plant. Aromatic leaves have a spicy, clover-like flavor popular in tomato dishes, soups, stews, spaghetti, fish, poultry, and salads. Basil also has a strong scent that can help deter pests. Try inter-cropping basil varieties throughout your garden to aid in pest prevention!
I didn't like the flavor. But it germinated & grew well here in SE TX Zone 8b.
I have mine growing in a pot and its perfect for it.
Seeds are easy to start & grow with little to no maintenance. I don’t harvest them to eat since I have other basil varieties that I like better, taste-wise. But Dwarf Greek Basil (& other globe basil varieties) makes a very nice & super easy, aromatic companion plant that helps out everywhere in the garden! Zone 9B
The leaves are smaller and slightly less aromatic than genovese, but that’s a good think if you don’t like to be overwhelmed by flavor. The plant is very bushy and prolific. It is also very drought tolerant!
Excellent little compact basil that grows really well in either a pot or the ground. It doesn't take up much room, so this is perfect if you don't have a lot of space or are trying to fill in gaps in the garden.

These were cut on April 22nd and planted April 23, 2025. They came up on May 4th. I'm in central SD, zone 4b. Next year, I'll get more!
Hard to leave a review just planted them.. but over all I was pleased when they arrived ❤️
I wasn't sure it would survive when I planted it, but it is growing. Very happy with my purchase
I immediately set this plant outside to begin hardening off. After about 2 weeks, I planted it in it's dedicated grow bag until I get a more permanent planter, and I must say it is living life. It has grown so much since I received it. I believe I'm going to remove the blossoms this year to continue promoting healthy growth.
Love this. I collect stickers on my garden notebook for fun and inspiration and this spoke to me.
