AnnualAllium schoenoprasum. Closely related to shallots, leeks, and scallions, this onion variety is used as an herb in most recipes. The pale purple flowers are edible as well, and add a delicious touch of onion to any salad. Plant somewhere spacious where they can overtake. Chives like to reign and are very handy to use fresh. This perennial is hardy and grows well in pots.
I am really hopeful to be successful in growing chives from seed this year!

Awesome producer and neat looking fruit! The abundant cucumber beetles seem to ignore the vines too!

So far all 6 seeds that I planted have germinated and are growing well. I am planning on transplanting them into bigger pots soon until they’re ready for the garden.
My old reliable variety, always produces an abundance of tomatoes towards the end of the season!
Little pepper plants popped up quickly, they seem to be doing very well thus far.
