Dark, royal purple peas that are perfect for the spring garden! Enjoy these as a snow pea by harvesting early or harvest later as a shelling pea! The color does cook to green, so they are best eaten raw if you want the most impressive color. For picky kids who won't eat their veggies, call them “magic color changing peas” and watch them change color right before their eyes!
Bought them before I love them wanted them again. I just wish you would put a few more in the package. I know you’re very cheap with your pricing. I wish I had saved some seeds from my last harvest, but I didn’t. Will definitely next time.
One of our favorites. Delicious picked young as a sweet snow pea ate raw. Tasty and sweet if left to swell into a pea. Easy to harvest peas if left to grow longer. Absolutely beautiful when flowers bloom and the purple pods make it easier to find all these little treasures in summer on the vines.
Excited to plant these next season. Always try to plant something new every year. This was my pick.
In zone 9B. I planted them late but they came up quick and are still gritting in spite of the cooler temps and near frosty nights. I know they won't turn into peas but I'm using them as chicken fodder for now. I'll plant more this spring and I know they'll take off. They're very strong and determined to live!
I've gotten these are few times from migardener. They're easy to see to pick. The bugs, at least in my area (coastal northern California) dont go after the purple pods. They do need to be picked often and young so they dont get strongly and starchy. Overall, they don't disappoint. I like them fresh and raw with ranch dressing, because when you cook them, the color fades.
Growing great. Over 95% came up and are over 6 inches tall already.
I grow these every year and they do very well. The harvest never makes it back into the house. I love to snack on them while I’m in the garden and my kids enjoy them too.
Rose tomatoe. I planted 5 seeds 4 germinated. I already transplanted them.
This basil is insane!! It’s growing so fast and the leaves are as big as the palm of my hand!
Awesome color on these. Beautiful addition to the (majority pink shades) zinnias I usually grow.
