Indeterminate- An unbelievably sweet tomato with low acid. The tomatoes are, on average 1 oz and can be expected to yield several pounds per plant. The lack of acid makes their shelf life lower, but they are worth having around for their unique flavor. In Recipes like bruschetta, salads, or eaten fresh from the garden. Vines are vigorous, so we recommend using a tall cage to support them.
I planted Black Cherry tomatoes in 2024 and the germination rate was phenomenal and they continued producing tomatoes until we had a hard frost. This was by far the tastiest tomato I planted last year!
Great germination! I am really looking forward to trying these later in the year. Will review again once tasted!!
I bought these just for fun. Oh my goodness we're they a hit! Grew wonderfully in a year I didn't have the best success. Gorgeous and delicious. Love the deep color. Will definitely be planting plenty more this year!
These have been talked about by many people for so long, it's always been on my list to grow, but despite my best try, I didn’t get to taste it the first time. (Not at all the seeds fault, it was across all my tomato varieties, not these seeds' fault- haha!) But woah! These have such amazing flavor! If you love dark tomatoes, this is an absolute must grow!!
This variety produces a very large and tall growing plant. It grew well over 8' tall in my raised bed. I had to add 8' bamboo poles in my tomato cages and then let them flop over from there. In the picture below, you can see how tall and healthy the plants were.
Fruit-wise, they are not as sweet as Sweet 100s, but had a nice flavor. They produced clusters of tomatoes that were easy to pick, and they didn't fall off all over the ground as they ripened. They lasted a long time on the countertop.
In summary, this is a great variety for the following reasons:
1 - Very healthy plants
2 - Produced an abundance of fruit, in clusters of 10 or more.
3 - The fruit stays on the plant and doesn't drop all over the ground in wind or when slightly over ripe.
4 - I did not water them the 1st 4 weeks of our August drought and they did not wilt.
5 - Flavor was good. Note: that the skins were a little tough, and they are not as sweet as Sweet 100. My husband wasn't a huge fan of these, he's a diehard Sweet 100 fan, where I am not, due to how messy Sweet 100s can be and how quicky they spoil on the counter.
6 - The Black Cherry tomato has tough skins, that kept them from cracking and quickly spoiling, like sweet 100 do.
I kept seeds for planting in 2025, but I am still on the hunt for a Sweet 100 replacement that meets both my and my husband's expectations. Will be purchasing a different variety from MIgardener for next year. I will continue this path until I find the perfect cherry tomato for my husband and I.

I grew only a few seeds, but they came up fine, and I was able to get some delicious, sweet melon! I sprayed it once with a copper fungicide, and I should have done it a second time, but I still go melons. (I have a struggle with fungal problems here). Easy to grow, easy to eat!
This stuff feed my garden all summer. Highly recommend
This was one of my first tomatoes from MIgardener seed and I loved it so much. Very tasty green tomato, and even though it was only in a smallish container, it was one of my best producers! Nice clusters (not quite so big and dense as the photo, for me at least...) and great flavor for eating fresh in the garden. I'm not the best with tomatoes, I don't treat them as well as I should, and I grow in Seattle (8b?) which is finicky weather every year, so I was surprised these did so well! Will definitely grow again. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures saved on the vine, but the little green one in the attached photo is one of them!
Love sales. Time to stock up
Pollinators love this flower. Especially honey bees.
They grew in spring then reseeded themselves for fall.
