I grew over 10 varieties of tomatoes this year and so far this is one of my favorites! It does have a lot of depth of flavor and fruity undertones.
Also, it grows really well here in Michigan to the point where I had so many seedlings do well I had to give some away to friends and family! I have already purchased more for next year. Would highly recommend!

Black Sea Man is my favorite tomato variety by far. It's healthy, productive (it's semi-determinate for me in 7B in full sun), and delicious! More than that, I had less than great germination this year, so it occurred to me to check on the date on the seed packet. My seeds are from 2018! And about half of them still germinated and are growing great and are setting fruit for me in 2024. I think that speaks to the quality of MIgardener seeds. Back to the growing habit, I'm calling this a semi-determinate because it does not grow 12 ft tall like indeterminates do for me, but it does get about 5 ft tall and VERY bushy, 4-5 ft wide. Don't even try it with a regular tomato cage - it will swallow and break it with the first set of fruit, because they get pretty large and heavy. I use DYI sturdy cages for mine and give them lots of space to spread out, and they do great. They keep producing until first frost for me. I just love this variety!

They germinated in 72 hrs. and are growing fast.

This is my favorite slicing tomato, and the earliest to produce. It has an early and abundant harvest. As a determinate it doesn't get as huge, but can be contained in a large tomato cage. I generally succession plant about 6 weeks apart, for prolific harvest all summer. We did a blind taste test with several heirloom varieties, and this was the unanimous winner! (I bought new seeds in 2024, and had 100% germination rate.)

Started 10seeds - 6 and then the following week 4 when I had no germ on the first set and sadly none germinated - too late to restart for my 9b zone, but I’ll try the remaining seeds next year. All other seeds in my order germinated. I’m a first time gardener so not blaming the seeds probably just me.
