The Arikara Yellow bean is an heirloom variety treasured for its rich history and robust flavor. Named after the Arikara Native American tribe, these beans have a heritage dating back centuries. The plants are bushy and hardy, thriving in various growing conditions, including dry climates. The beans are medium-sized, oval, and a warm yellow color, perfect for soups, stews, and baking. Arikara Yellow beans offer a creamy texture and nutty taste, making them a versatile and nutritious addition to any garden and kitchen.
New to me but am excited to grow them.
I had a good germination rate with the beans.
Germintion was 100% and the vines and production is exceptional.
So far great germination! I’m excited to try once harvested.
6 seeds planted, 6 healthy sprouts
I just planted them and they look beautiful so far
Excellent Germination!
One of my favorite things to grow is spinach, I grow mostly in containers so I like to try and get as much as possible out of my small garden. This variety definitely does that. I get massive leaves and fill up a gallon sized ziplock bag relatively quickly every week when the harvest begins.
Germination went very well, popped up within a few days. Growing well!
Nice I like it. Its perfect
