So far, this variety is doing excellent in my north Idaho climate. I started indoors the first week of May and planted out the first week of June. Germination was decent to good. (Can’t remember the specifics, but I planted the whole packet, and I had at least 20 plants. When potting up, I didn’t pot up all, so there were more that had germinated.)The stems are super thick and strong already— stronger, earlier compared to last year’s, actually (from a different seed company). Flowers are already forming in abundance. Last year, my 4 tomatillos produced buckets and buckets of tomatillos, so I have high hopes for the fruit of MIgardener’s. (I planted 8 starts and sold/gave away the remaining starts, so I should have tomatillos coming out of my ears!) Very pleased with these seeds so far & recommend.
They are growing really well and excited to see how they produce. First time growing these.
Rio Grande Verde Tomatillo
It took a while, but they did sprout in my mini greenhouse even though it’s been quite cold!
These guys sprouted so fast and are growing really strong
Looking and growing beautiful
I used Trifecta for my entire garden this year and I am truly amazed!!
This is one amazing variety! ... Fast growing, fast to set fruit, and has been the fastest to ripen this season. Prolific grower with a GREAT taste... WIll DEFINITELY grow again next season!
Well the seeds germinated in the plants are growing. No flowers yet. Hoping for some soon.
Fantastic! The plants have had wonderfully vigorous growth and I’m getting my first adorable female blossoms. So excited!
