I haven't had much luck growing tomatillos before. I've used two different seed companies in the past and none germinated . I have high hopes this time. I'm very happy with how fast my seed orders get to me.
I guess I didn’t know what I expected, but these tomatillos grew to be huge plants, even worse I neglected the poor things and they got even larger and produced more from the slight stress. Pick before they turn yellow.
My tip is- you do need a second pollinator, so either plant two or plant a ground cherry nearby- which you’ll love just as much!
I've grown tomatillos from a number of brands and MIGardener definitely has the best germination rate and healthiest tomatillo plants. Great taste and tartness. The fruits freeze wonderfully!

As described. Good germination.
We have nice fertile soil in our greenhouse and able to control those pesty little flea beetles that can decimate eggplants foliage. I've been keeping them under control with DE and my eggplants are massive in size, about 3-4 feet tall with 1 foot lower leaves.
The eggplants fruit are developing nicely, nearly doubling in size daily. There are plenty of blossoms too. We're expecting that we won't need to grow more for a few years, we're planning on freeze drying most if them.
I purchased several packs of seeds from MiGardener during the semi annual sale, and they did not disappoint! Nearly 100 percent germination rate on all seeds I've planted. The only thing I haven't been able to germinate is lemon grass, which I'm learning may 1 take a very long time to germinate in general and 2 need bottom heat to help them sprout. Even without being on sale 2 bucks a seed pack for the amount they give (very generous compared to other companies, I might add) is a crazy good deal. I'm not a seasoned gardener, so I don't necessarily know what's normal or not, but out of all the seeds I planted (got about a dozen different herbs and greens from MIgardener), the fenugreek was the quickest to sprout, had the highest germination rate, and the largest sprouting leaves. I'm pretty excited to watch them grow into beautiful plants.
Gardening for over 40 years. The Trifecta very impressed has all the elements I want in a fertilizer. Next year I will buy the largest amount.
