This Asian heirloom variety has ruby red stems and massive succulent green leaves. Not a true spinach variety, but similar in flavor and usage. Unlike classic spinach, this is a heat-loving variety that will climb up any trellis. Frost sensitive. Greens are delicious in salads, stir-fries, and smoothies.
I have grown Malabar spinach in the past. I decided to buy a new pack of seeds from MiGardener. It grows so wonderfully in my garden. And you can’t go wrong with a good price point of two dollars for a pack of seeds.
Love it! Beautiful lush red and green color all summer. Excellent for sunny spot
Great product!
Not so great raw, but awesome sautéed and in soups! Grows great in warm climate. It takes a while to get started, but once it takes off, it doesn't stop! Very easy for new gardeners ❣️
We love this plant! It requires little garden space, grows with little attention to it, freezes well and is versatile in cooking!
I gave one to my partner last summer... he said, "WHY DOES THIS TASTE LIKE CHAMPAGNE??"
This variety will be in my garden until I can no longer garden!
I just planted them and they look beautiful so far
Excellent Germination!
One of my favorite things to grow is spinach, I grow mostly in containers so I like to try and get as much as possible out of my small garden. This variety definitely does that. I get massive leaves and fill up a gallon sized ziplock bag relatively quickly every week when the harvest begins.
Germination went very well, popped up within a few days. Growing well!
