This aromatic herb is native to Central and South America and is used for its fresh leaves and tender stems traditionally to give flavor to bean dishes. The plant will grow up to 4' tall. A pungent flavor with hints of oregano, anise, and mint. Should not be used for medicinal purposes, or in excess. Consumption should be avoided by pregnant women.
