About to transplant out into grow bags. Nice and bright red color even as seedlings, can’t wait to see them get to full size!

Tasty lettuce, always grows well!

This stuff is prolific. It took off for baby “greens” earlier than most and lasted longer than the rest in the heat. I planted it as mulch in one half barrel pot around a tomato and a few other things, and I was sick of salads trying to keep up with it. It was my first successful year with lettuce.

I love these lettuce! They are crispy and wonderful for salads and wraps. Whenever I show my relatives the photos they all fell in love. Too bad a lot of the seeds were wasted since I was still learning how to grow lettuce.
