Indeterminate - This Polish heirloom is as sweet as candy! The groundcherry is sweet, tart, and savory. A combination of flavors from a tomatillo to slight pineapple is the best of both worlds. Plants produce heavy yields of small husk-covered fruits that fall to the ground at full ripeness. Because of their high pectin content, they are perfect for making jellies, jams, sauces, preserves, and so much more.

Great Germination

I started two seeds in a hydroponic system on November 29, and both seeds germinated within a few days. They have now been transferred to soil indoors and are thriving! I'm looking forward to tasting the fruit within the next few months.

Hard to germinate, but worth it!

I planted 6 seeds. Only 2 sprouted, and out of that, only one plant survived. Not sure why these were so hard to get to grow and stay alive, but the plant that did make it is so fun! It's filled with lots of tomatillo looking fruit. They've just started to fall off and are so fun to collect and eat! My kids love them! They have a tomato like texture, but are super sweet and taste more tropical. Not like a tomato at all. (Planted this in a large pot and it did great. It ended up growing over the sides and onto the floor

Delicious

I got these for garden snacking and they did not disappoint. They taste a lot like grapes, they’re so sweet and absolutely my favorite thing I’ve grown this year! I plan to grow them every year for the rest of my life, and want to grow them in pots since they grow like a bush.

Fragrant, sweet, crunchy, and simply delicious

These ground cherries are a unique eating experience. I have read reviews on other sellers' websites that they are sour, but those I got from MI Gardener live up to their description.
