Long Day - These sweet mild onion bulbs can grow to weigh up to a pound or more. Yellow Sweet Spanish Utah has fair storage characteristics, moderate pink root tolerance. Great variety for the West Coast. Use them for soups, stews, and even stir fries.
Strangely, mine didn't germinate.... not one! I always start my onions and leeks in March, and have never had a problem. This year, the two varieties of onion I started failed to germinate. I have no issue with the leeks however.
great flavor and stored well but have had some issues with germination
I start my seed indoors under lights and no heat in January. Planting them in the garden mid March. They can take the cold like a champ. I've been growing the Spanish Yellow for about 10 years and they always grow to be a perfect sized bulb by mid July. As long as you get your timing right they are excellent performers. They keep until March then I process them to the freezer for further use. They have a lot of flavor without being to harsh.
I started these January and planted out in April. Great Seeds!
I was really pleased with my Utah Yellow sweet onions. They were by far the strongest onion plants. They grew bigger that all my other onions, up to around softball size. I have had good success storing these also. The first year I grew them they stored until spring with minimal quality decline. I will definitely keep growing these.

Trifecta has been my trusted partner in the garden for my vegetables and to start my dahlias. Thank you MI Gardener team!
Fantastic Zucchini!! Very tender tasty and huge :)))
As described. Good germination.
We have nice fertile soil in our greenhouse and able to control those pesty little flea beetles that can decimate eggplants foliage. I've been keeping them under control with DE and my eggplants are massive in size, about 3-4 feet tall with 1 foot lower leaves.
The eggplants fruit are developing nicely, nearly doubling in size daily. There are plenty of blossoms too. We're expecting that we won't need to grow more for a few years, we're planning on freeze drying most if them.
I purchased several packs of seeds from MiGardener during the semi annual sale, and they did not disappoint! Nearly 100 percent germination rate on all seeds I've planted. The only thing I haven't been able to germinate is lemon grass, which I'm learning may 1 take a very long time to germinate in general and 2 need bottom heat to help them sprout. Even without being on sale 2 bucks a seed pack for the amount they give (very generous compared to other companies, I might add) is a crazy good deal. If you have been on the fence, I encourage you to give MiGardener seeds a try! Thank you Luke and team, and Happy Gardening to all!
