The Teddy Bear Sunflower has a smaller head and stem than the Tall Sungold Sunflower. Its double-petal blooms make for a beautiful border, along a fence, or just a few placed throughout the garden. They are also beautiful as cut flowers, and once they open fully, the pollinators love them! They are so full of petals that they appear almost fuzzy. Will grow to 24-36" tall with 4-5" heads.
I bought these thinking they would perform well and add fun personality to my garden. They didn't. The biggest plants barely reached 12 inches in height with tiny 2-3" heads and took all growing season to get there. For perspective, my Mammoths grown just behind these, reached 12 feet in height with ease.
I didn’t know a sunflower could be fluffy but this one is! Zone 7B and these thrived! It was my first time growing them and they were gorgeous!
I purchased many different varieties of sunflowers this year and these were by far my favorite! You can allow them to grow as tall as you like or you can also put them in a pot.
They truly look unique and exotic very cute. Very easy to grow.
They are wonderful.
My sunflowers are still growing and are hopeful they will look like the picture. Excited to see them in bloom!

We have nice fertile soil in our greenhouse and able to control those pesty little flea beetles that can decimate eggplants foliage. I've been keeping them under control with DE and my eggplants are massive in size, about 3-4 feet tall with 1 foot lower leaves.
The eggplants fruit are developing nicely, nearly doubling in size daily. There are plenty of blossoms too. We're expecting that we won't need to grow more for a few years, we're planning on freeze drying most if them.
I purchased several packs of seeds from MiGardener during the semi annual sale, and they did not disappoint! Nearly 100 percent germination rate on all seeds I've planted. The only thing I haven't been able to germinate is lemon grass, which I'm learning may 1 take a very long time to germinate in general and 2 need bottom heat to help them sprout. Even without being on sale 2 bucks a seed pack for the amount they give (very generous compared to other companies, I might add) is a crazy good deal. If you have been on the fence, I encourage you to give MiGardener seeds a try! Thank you Luke and team, and Happy Gardening to all!
I'm not a seasoned gardener, so I don't necessarily know what's normal or not, but out of all the seeds I planted (got about a dozen different herbs and greens from MIgardener), the fenugreek was the quickest to sprout, had the highest germination rate, and the largest sprouting leaves. I'm pretty excited to watch them grow into beautiful plants.
Gardening for over 40 years. The Trifecta very impressed has all the elements I want in a fertilizer. Next year I will buy the largest amount.
Second squash to produce for me. Picked young and the skin is very thin/easily bruises. Roasted first batch and they were a delicious mild flavor! Very soft but the roasting gave a nice crust on them. 2nd batch mixed in a stir fry and it overcooked very easily and was mushy. I like how prolific this plant is and the mild taste. Just need to make sure not to overcook. Well definitely grow again.
