This 1940s variety is one of the slowest to go to seed. Heat tolerant with a pleasant flavor that won't go bitter. Ideal for growing in southern regions with hot summers. This variety is loose leafed and perfect for a cut and comes again garden.

Great for hot climates like Fl

Beautiful!

Easy to grow, bountiful, and absolutely lovely. Like my photo doesn't do it justice. It's just too pretty for lettuce. Stunning, picturesque sandwiches. I have 3 plants thriving in a 3 gallon growbag I've been growing indoors under a light in sunshine #4. The other 9 plants I started but didn't up-pot out of the starter tray made great baby greens as well.

Go To Warm Weather Lettuce

This lettuce was planted directly in the garden in the end of April (zone 6). It lasted the longest of all my lettuce. It grew giant heads that tasted amazing. I will always recommend Migardener.
