AnnualIndeterminate - The San Marzano tomato is the undisputed king of paste tomatoes. Each plant produces insane amounts of medium 3-5 ounce tomatoes. Expect high production up to the first frost. The flavor is acidic; making it great for canning, tomato paste, pizza sauce, pasta sauce, and even fresh eating in salads! Gourmet and home chefs seek out the San Marzano for its amazing flavor and perfect texture.
I grew these in my garden this year and they were loaded plants. Will be growing these again in 2026.
This tomato was a big producer! I grew it in my 6a garden and will grow it again. Great for canning tomato sauce. Did ok for canning diced tomatoes. Seeds are easy to grow with a great germination rate.
I expect them to to good. But I'll have to plant indoors in the spring to know for sure. Text me in the spring and summer.

Fun way to get new interesting varieties in the garden, I love the grab bags! My sister and I have purchased these for the last few years and we make a big deal about the big reveal. We video-call each delivery (we both purchase more than one set) and play some sort of game or announcement of each packet . It’s the highlight of fall and helps us get over the end of gardening season blues!
The taste of this tomato is super sweet. I made pico de gallo and it was a treat. I got a one pound tomato in my grow bag.
