This variety grows fast, and is perfect for growing in containers! True romaine in flavor, with eye-catching deep mahogany leaves. Brings a sweet, flavorful crunch to any salad. Low maintenance with a generous harvest.
growing a few of these indoors under a light for winter sandwiches. they came up fine still to small to eat so jury is out on taste. growing winter plants also puts moisture in the house and it is very dry this year so bonus.
Awesome - sprouted quickly. High quality.
.
I grew this lettuce from mid January until late May. The leaves are a bit buttery which is good for me. I noticed that it taste best during the cold months.
This romaine seemed to be smaller and more tender than store varieties, and resisted getting bitter. I had a little trouble with germination though.
Grew these for the past three years and I will keep growing them for many more. I highly recommend them. Great germination rate. Every onion grew to the size of baseballs and others a bit bigger and they store very well.Best long day onion I have ever grow.
I am very happy with my heirloom seeds. I cannot wait to germinate them.
Started my seeds on 12/31/25. I’ve had almost 100% germination and the onion seedlings are a couple of inches tall at this point (1/9/26). Looking forward to a great harvest!
