Bush: Mayocoba beans, also known as Peruano or Canary beans, are creamy yellow legumes prized for their smooth texture and mild, buttery flavor. They cook up tender without losing their shape, making them perfect for soups, stews, and refried beans. Popular in Mexican and South American cuisine, these versatile beans absorb seasonings beautifully, creating rich, comforting dishes. Their soft, velvety consistency and delicate taste make Mayocoba beans a favorite for both traditional recipes and creative modern cooking.
So far all 6 seeds that I planted have germinated and are growing well. I am planning on transplanting them into bigger pots soon until they’re ready for the garden.
My old reliable variety, always produces an abundance of tomatoes towards the end of the season!
Little pepper plants popped up quickly, they seem to be doing very well thus far.
Really great germination, I am currently growing them in my hydroponic system.
I gave one to my partner last summer... he said, "WHY DOES THIS TASTE LIKE CHAMPAGNE??"
This variety will be in my garden until I can no longer garden!
