Rice is the most consumed staple in the world and now you can grow your very own. This large grain rice is easy to grow and doesn't need a rice paddy to grow. The plants will grow as long as they are kept damp and well-watered. Once the rice forms seed pods they can be knocked into a bowl, threshed to separate the seed from chaff, and then winnowed to refine just the seeds which are what you will identify as the same long grain rice you find in the stores.
Received fast and packaged well. Can’t wait to try it this season. Thanks, Luke!
Thank you for another great batch of seeds. I do very well with germination, giving me confidence from starting my garden from seeds versus starter plants.
I planted a couple of them.
Did not take care of them due to life situation.
Looking forward to trying again soon.
I purchased 2 packets of the long grain rice. I've only used 1 so far. I'm experimenting with 8 small pots with 3 seeds in each and have had (on average) 2 of the 3 seeds germinate. High germination rate. Love it.
It looks good haven't tried to germinate. It is too cold right now.
Awesome color on these. Beautiful addition to the (majority pink shades) zinnias I usually grow.
I have way more celery than I have room to plant!
Planted my basil as soon as thepackets arrived!
Last year I decided to plant a "tunnel" of sunflowers on the other side of my tall blueberry bushes and these added a colorful variety to the typical yellow! These are now a favorite that will be a "grow again!"
I received a packet of this mix with a previous greenstalk order through MIgardener (best price around!) and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to grow and how delicious it was! I’ve never grown salad greens before and this was the perfect mix. Even after burning out on gardening late in the summer, I will always look forward to growing this salad green mix in the spring. Thanks for introducing me!
