This lemon-look-alike squash is both cute and cheery! Make sure to harvest young for the best flavor! They have a mild squash taste but are excellent when grilled or roasted. Their prolific harvest makes a perfect addition for the home gardener or market farmer!
These seeds took about 3 weeks to come up. To be fair tho I was a little too anxious and planted them first of March. I think the soil was still too cold. Once the temp warmed up tho they seemed to shoot up overnight. Looking forward to harvesting these and grilling them.
Can’t give much of a review since it’s January, currently -6 degrees, my garden is under 3 1/2 feet of snow and I won’t be planting ANYTHING for at least another 5 1/2 months. Unfortunately I can not predict the future, but I’ll definitely give one once the growing season has ended for my area and I can share the results. PS….this will be my first time growing this particular squash, so I’m unable to give any previous experience with this plant. But I am looking forward to it since I saw your recommendation on it. 🌱
it's easier to pawn them off on your neighbors, than baseball bat size zucchini, lol
These were super hardy, very productive, and great for roasting. A nice variety to try in addition to your favorites.
These are amazing little yellow squash. Our plant is quite prolific despite the cucumber beetles we are battling this year! We have two plants that seem to be taking up as much space as we allow so might need to be contained if you’re short on space. We’ve been picking when they’re between the size of a tennis ball & a baseball and they seem to have a perfectly mild flavor. When they’re larger, they’re still good, just not as tender. We’ve enjoyed them most chopped into bite size chunks and sautéed in a skillet. Add salt and pepper and it’s a perfect side! They’ve earned a space in our garden. :)
Awesome little squash. Great germination

Nice big phat roots on 'em too, honestly the bed wasn't even prepared for how big the roots were. Which is a good "problem" to have if I'm being unclear
This is only my third go with gardening and so naturally I thought: “I oughta plant a few extras just in case”. Shortly after sown, 22 of 24 of the sunspot dwarf sunflower seeds have germinated! No clue where I’ll put them all yet but it’s a problem I’m happy to have. 🙂 Note:
One was not in the photo, I hadn’t moved it over to the larger pot yet. Also, If you’re a first time grower of sunflowers, please know this will not be enough room for this many of them. This photo is of a temporary home for them for just a few days while I sort more space. I didn’t plan to have so many growing this year. #Grow Bigger
This seed germinated beautifully!
I ordered two Natchez Blackberry plugs. If I had known the quality I would have ordered more! There was great care taken into consideration when it came to shipping these live plants. They arrived fully intact with not even a broken leaf. I'm hoping to expand my berry patch with thornless berries. Im tired of the old way of leaving sweat and tears in the berry patch. I'll definitely order more if given the chance.
Trying something I heard about. Planted sweet peas in the extra space around my asparagus. So far, so good.
