Approximate Seed Count: 200A favorite variety for the home gardener. While maintaining its place in the onion family, the American Flag Leek has a more mild and sweet flavor than most onions. Not only is it a close relative to onion, but to garlic as well. The large white stems grow in girth as the leeks mature giving them green flat leaves. A staple in cuisine, leeks give a taste of light onion flavor to soups, stews, or even traditional English meat pies. This variety was bred to endure cold weather.
Germination was great
The Leek seed and garlic arrived packaged well. I haven't planted the leeks yet but the garlic is in the ground. Will let you know the results of both. Thankd you Mi gardener team .

Germination so far so good !
Got my seeds and planted some in seed trays for transplanting into my Green Stalk (which will be ready with summer flowers removed and refreshed potting mix in another week). The seeds are now 2-3" plants just waiting for some sunshine and fresh air!! I couldn't be happier!
