This large bell pepper is one of the sweetest on the market! Wonderful for stuffing, grilling, or tossing up in salads. This plant produces decent amounts of massive peppers weighing several ounces each, and bigger than a softball in size. Turn from green to red when fully mature. A truly amazing heirloom variety worth growing!

Keystone: Big, Blocky, Thick Sweet Flesh

I have been growing Keystone peppers now for about 4 years. 2024 was my best pepper year ever. I grow about 8 to 10 plants and let the peppers ripen till completely red. The flavor is just outstanding. It has all the fruitiness of a red bell pepper but with a floral overtone that really comes out when you roast them in a toaster oven, which we commonly do.
How many peppers have we eaten this year, maybe a hundred or more, which is impressive for two people, I would think. These ripe peppers go for $2 each at the store, so just the pepper crop alone pays for my whole garden, water, power, and seed.

100% Germination

Although all germinated, my peppers were on the smaller size. BUT that was probably my error and where I planted them. So I will try again in a different spot in 2025.

Best results last year of any Bell Pepper I've ever grown.

I purchased another package of Keystone Giant in preparation for next year's seed starting, since last year's results produced the best Bell Peppers I've ever grown (Southern Michigan). I have high expectations again for this year's crop already in the ground. Left over seeds from prior season purchase all germinated well, which led to my confidence in purchasing more seeds in advance of next year's indoor starts.
