Bush Variety - An Italian bean prized for its flashy colored pods and beautiful creamy mocha-colored seeds when dry. Plants produce mid-season and will continue production late into fall. A very large bean with small strings only when fully mature. To be completely string-free harvest your pods at a smaller stage.

Family favorite

Dragon's tongue is the best bean! The seeds have excellent germination, the plants were very hardy, the production was consistent, and the flavor and texture were the favorite of all seven family members. I will definitely grow bees again next year and designate a plant for seed saving!

The Dragon Delivers!

I grew these in an experiment to find a go-to bush bean for my garden. These were grown alongside Cantare Beans in the exact same growing conditions. The Dragon Tongue was the victor by a landslide. All of the Dragon Tongue Beans sprouted, grew well, and produced surprisingly juicy and tasty beans. Only one Cantare Bean survived and produced fruit and the flavor was bland and lacking, especially in comparison to the Dragon Tongue Beans. We garden in central Arkansas (zone 8a... if I'm not mistaken). I ordered a second pack to grow more for eating and saving seeds from since they did so well!
