AnnualThere is no diamond in the rough here with this eggplant. Its beautiful rich purple color and green flesh produce bountiful fruit. Each plant produces 4-6 fruits per plant. Harvest when they are 9 inches long to ensure a less bitter flavor.
This is my third year growing this eggplant. I've found it to be a good producer and very tasty. I've had problems trying to grow larger varieties like Black Beauty and found this smaller eggplant is a great solution. LOVE IT!!

Plants are still thriving in October in the northeast! Beautiful plants, gorgeous fruits.
Seedlings survived 20° night time temps with a frost cloth. Had some others in a plastic makeshift greenhouse that took minor damage but made a full recovery. Can’t wait to taste it once it’s bigger. Seemed to be good seed germination but this is my first garden since childhood so not too hard to impress me.
