Planted this Genovese basil expecting “pretty good.” What I got was that smell—the instant, unmistakable basil aroma the moment I brushed the leaves. Germination was quick, plants filled out fast, and the leaves were thick, cupped, and deeply green.

The first harvest went straight into pesto, and it tasted like the basil I remember, not the watered-down version so many seeds produce.

My seeds from MI did very well this yr...good germination and nice healthy plants...only thing I've had trouble with is radishes if anyone has any tips. Ohio Valley.

Love the Genovese Basil! Great price, all that we planted sprouted. We were able to use all summer and dried some to use in the winter. Nice, full plant. Great, robust flavor. I would highly recommend!

This is bar-none my favorite basil! My plants were so prolific last year, so I will definitely be growing Genovese again :)
