Indeterminate - The San Marzano tomato is the undisputed king of paste tomatoes. Each plant produces insane amounts of medium 3-5 ounce tomatoes. Expect high production up to the first frost. The flavor is acidic; making it great for canning, tomato paste, pizza sauce, pasta sauce, and even fresh eating in salads! Gourmet and home chefs seek out the San Marzano for its amazing flavor and perfect texture.
Excellent flavor, great producer, with little to no gell!!
This will be the second year that I have bought San Marzano tomato seeds. I had a 100% germination rate last year. I had three plants which resulted in fourteen pounds of tomatoes. I couldn't resist the sale that happened a few months ago, and stocked up.
Always great seeds!
So far this variety is my favorite paste tomato. This is a prolific tomato variety. I have grown San Marzano from MIgardener seeds for the past three years. I experimented in not pruning them at all in the Spring/Summer garden of 2025 and learned that you do still need to prune even though they are determinate. They were bushes monstrosities. I am growing in zone 8ish in eastern NC. The humidity demands pruning here. I’d still prune less aggressively on these than I would an indeterminate.
Reordered these because my husband and son raved about them all summer. Both the flavor and the meatiness. They didn't leave me any to make sauce! Great germination rate.
I'm not just saying this because I am from the great state of New York, but the New Yorker tomato from MI Gardener is stupendous....It almost over-performed last summer (is that even possible?) I can't wait to get started with them again this year.!!
I used revive Rex last year with excellent outcomes. I wanted you to make sure I have it on had for this gardening season.
Delicious and prolific.I'll plant this on repeat!
Grew these for the past three years and I will keep growing them for many more. I highly recommend them. Great germination rate. Every onion grew to the size of baseballs and others a bit bigger and they store very well.Best long day onion I have ever grow.
I am very happy with my heirloom seeds. I cannot wait to germinate them.
