Named for an island off the coast of South Carolina, this variety was introduced in 1952. Crisp and sweet, this beloved heirloom has been a favorite for generations (especially on the Eastern Seaboard where it originates). Tall, uniform leaves create the perfect shape for lettuce wraps or boats for dips and dressings.
Parris Island Cos Romaine Lettuce
i have only 3 seed companies i order from and MI Gardner is one of them. I trust Luke and his team!
Delicious. Grows well.
Wonderful germination as always!
love this lettuce! We grew outdoors over the summer with great results. A continual supply of romaine. No problems with germination. We are currently trying indoor under grow lights for the winter. We have sprouts and they look great so far. Highly recommend! MIgardner is a great source for all seeds. Shipping is fast, prices are fantastic and everything we have purchased so far has had at least 90% germination rate and great quality. Thank you!
This is an all-star! Armenian cukes have a mild taste, store well in the refrigerator, and are delightfully crunchy. I shared them with many friends this year and each one loved them and decided to grow them next year!
My seeds arrived safely, the order was accurate, and I love how MIGardener keeps their seed packet prices low (without skimping on the seed count!). This company has a great variety of high quality seeds, I always get a great germination percentage. This winter, I'm excited to start my indoor garden of greens and other small veg so I don't have to buy the overpriced (potentially coated in chemicals) produce at the store. Keep up the good work, MIG team! Thank you for being there :-)
I planted these beets last year and they were so successful I ordered more for this year.
All of my seeds grew from last year. I have been very pleased and look forward to this new order growing this coming spring.
growing a few of these indoors under a light for winter sandwiches. they came up fine still to small to eat so jury is out on taste. growing winter plants also puts moisture in the house and it is very dry this year so bonus.
