Cylindra beet is a unique, cylindrical variety prized for its uniform shape and sweet, tender flesh. Ideal for slicing and canning, this beet matures in about 55-60 days. Plant in well-drained, fertile soil with full sun exposure. Sow seeds 1 inch apart and thin seedlings to 3-4 inches to allow for growth. Cylindra beets are known for their long, narrow roots, which make them easy to harvest and prepare. Consistent moisture is key for optimal growth. The greens are also edible and can be used in salads or sautéed. This variety is perfect for gardeners seeking high yields and easy processing.
Too early to tell. This is my first time growing beets.
like always great seeds but where i planted these my soil was bad so it killed all but my fault will buy much more
Grew them in my greenstalk. They did great and I was able to grow 3 rounds of beets. Zone 5b
Thank you for becoming my favorite seed company!
i planted these beets, about a 50% germinating rate , but by far the best , sweetest beat i have ever eaten, absolutely will grow again.
Last year I decided to plant a "tunnel" of sunflowers on the other side of my tall blueberry bushes and these added a colorful variety to the typical yellow! These are now a favorite that will be a "grow again!"
I received a packet of this mix with a previous greenstalk order through MIgardener (best price around!) and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to grow and how delicious it was! I’ve never grown salad greens before and this was the perfect mix. Even after burning out on gardening late in the summer, I will always look forward to growing this salad green mix in the spring. Thanks for introducing me!
Our banana peppers arrived fairly quickly, even though there was a winter storm in Michigan.
I'm sure they will do well, as most seeds from Migardener do well.
I’ve been growing these for multiple years now. I love all the little surprises that come up. I have quite a collection of cactus plants now, thanks to these seed packets.
Excellent germination! Excellent packaging! Probably jumped the gun a bit but only planted 6 seeds for now!
