Emerald Giant Bell Pepper

This was my first year doing a big garden, so the soil in my yard wasn’t the best- it had poor drainage and was clay like. I was worried it wouldn’t do well but they did wonderful. I started these seeds indoor and also had a near 100% germination rate. The peppers grew so thick and sturdy and we ate so many of them this summer! I will be growing these again next year for sure. Just be sure they are staked, there were some large branches that broke off because of the weight of the pepper.

Fewer seeds than expected

So far so good. 100% germination rate. Healthy plants so far however not to the fruiting stage yet.

Vigorous healthy plants! Excellent germination rate! Wonderfully productive and these bells get HUGE! I finally have home grown bell peppers that are bigger than the ones in the store!
And they will ripen to orange yellow and red, as most bell peppers will if you leave them on the plant! Just a heads up, many gardeners don't seem to know that 🙃
