Proudly made in the USA, these larger 4-cell plug inserts are deeper for growing varieties of crops that need a little more room. Eight of these removable inserts fit in a Bootstrap Farmer 1020 tray. Made out of food-safe, heavy-duty polypropylene plastic and built to last many seasons.

FEATURES

  • Made from FDA Prime Grade Extra Strength Polypropylene (#5 BPA free) plastic
  • Extra Large 3/4" Drainage Hole makes for an effortless seedling removal. 
  • These 4 Cell Inserts are designed with Air Prune technology. Air channels are added on each side to prevent root circling. Air-pruned roots are shown to provide healthier and more vigorous growth.

  • Eight inserts (2 sets of 4) fit per 1020 tray
  • Perfect for up-potting peppers and tomatoes.


DIMENSIONS

  • Seed tray insert 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" x 4" tall 
  • Each cell in the tray insert is 2 3/8" on top, which tapers down to 1 1/4" at the bottom.
  • Air pruning slits measure - 2 1/2" long -  slit width is 1/8"

Better than I thought

The opening at the bottom and slits on the sides are great, but the actual size of the cells was not what I was imagining. I thought they would similar to the 6 cell plugs but they are almost like having four 3-inch pots together. I'm not going back. These are great!!

Great Product. Sold in Realistic Quantities!

These inserts are so sturdy and very practical. I use them to up-pot seedlings. I REALLY like that MIGardener sells them in quantities that appeal to the average, backyard gardener, as I don't need huge quantities of these!

Love the size of these for starts. And they’re great quality. I’ll be able to use these forever. I put them in the bootstrap tray with no holes and it fit great on the shelf of my cheap indoor “greenhouse.”
