AnnualAmaranth is a super grain packed with omega fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and protein. The leaves are edible and used in salads or steamed like spinach. The grain can also be used for animal feed or used as a flour replacement. Amazing in smoothies, baked goods, or even popped like popcorn! The flowers are deep purple and the leaves are a yellow-green color. The plants grow to be around 3-4 feet tall.
These are beautiful and the chickens live them

Great company
Not only is this plant gorgeous, I think it's going to be a great addition to our diet. We're trying to grow more of our own food, and I plan on using this like we use quinoa--as a replacement for rice. I'm also hoping that it encourages pollinators to our garden. I'm so glad I could find it at MI Gardener, because they're one of the few places I trust for seed.

We have nice fertile soil in our greenhouse and able to control those pesty little flea beetles that can decimate eggplants foliage. I've been keeping them under control with DE and my eggplants are massive in size, about 3-4 feet tall with 1 foot lower leaves.
The eggplants fruit are developing nicely, nearly doubling in size daily. There are plenty of blossoms too. We're expecting that we won't need to grow more for a few years, we're planning on freeze drying most if them.
