AnnualBlack tip wheat is used to add a special element to cut flower arrangements. It can be used to make flour, or is commonly used ornamentally. As its name suggests, this cultivar grows as normal wheat does and has dark almost black coloring on the top of each seed pod. Easy to grow and reaches 24-36" in length.

I ordered this again this year because it grew so well and looks so lovely in my flower pots. This is a seed I will continue to buy each year. As always, I buy most of my seed from MIgardener as the germination rate is superior to most other companies.

These were cut on April 22nd and planted April 23, 2025. They came up on May 4th. I'm in central SD, zone 4b. Next year, I'll get more!

I wasn't sure it would survive when I planted it, but it is growing. Very happy with my purchase
I immediately set this plant outside to begin hardening off. After about 2 weeks, I planted it in it's dedicated grow bag until I get a more permanent planter, and I must say it is living life. It has grown so much since I received it. I believe I'm going to remove the blossoms this year to continue promoting healthy growth.
Love this. I collect stickers on my garden notebook for fun and inspiration and this spoke to me.
