AnnualCold hardy and delicious in every way! This green was used for many years as a garnish until people finally started getting smart and began eating it! The leaves are slightly bitter with a nice deep earthy green flavor. Amazing in salads, blended up for green cold soup, or juiced. Rich in vitamins, fiber, and minerals. Very similar to lettuce, but once you try endive; you will feel as if every salad is bland. The flavor is intense and robust.
Fast growing. Very tasty.
Been a consistent producer even in hot weather.This has become my go to salad green year round (zone 8B).

The bulbs were large and healthy looking. Great price also. I can’t wait for planting time.
These are like XL cherry tomatoes (1.5-2 inches wide) that taste great and are uniform in size. I will be growing more of this variety next Spring.
Though they are not named Scotch Bonnet, they are definitely as hot and fragrant as a Scotch Bonnet pepper (and I'm happy I bought them to try). I bought more packets recently to be ready for next Spring and to share with my Jamaican family!
