Junebearing-  Dormant Runners

Looking for a delicious and easy-to-grow strawberry variety? Look no further than the AC Wendy Strawberry!

This Canadian-bred variety is a favorite among growers and consumers alike for its exceptional flavor and reliable performance. The berries are medium-sized, with a bright red color and a conical shape that makes them easy to pick and enjoy.

But it's not just the taste that sets the AC Wendy Strawberry apart.  It can thrive in a wide range of growing conditions, making it a great choice for home gardeners and commercial growers alike. While moderately resistant to powdery mildew and botrytis, they do require extra care as they are susceptible to Verticillium wilt and red stele.

When planted in well-draining soil and given adequate sunlight and water, the AC Wendy Strawberry can produce a bountiful crop of juicy, sweet berries throughout the summer months. And thanks to its vigorous growth habit, it will continue to produce year after year, making it a reliable addition to any garden or farm.

Bare roots rock!

We received the roots in a timely manner. They were successfully planted and cared for promptly. Most of the roots made it, some died but might be expected, but those that grew now have blooms on them. Excited to watch them grow and spread over the years. Would buy more from Migarden when needed.

Strawberries not performing well

Hello, I received the bare root plants on a Monday but they arrived to the University the previous Friday afternoon when I already left the office. Not sure that they were too stress out over the weekend in the warehouse and died. Basically only one is performing well. I am observing them closely. The goal was to move them to the green roof on an extensive bed.
If you wish I can keep you informed.
Best regards,
Tere Davidson

Growing beautifully!

I ordered 20 starts, and received 21😊 20 of those are growing beautifully! I have them growing in a hydroponic system (outdoors, but for vertical use) and they looooove it! I will absolutely be ordering more starts from MIGardener as needed!

All plants are alive and producing flowers

This variety of strawberries seems to be doing well. All plants broke dormancy and are flowering and producing fruit already.

Growing

These are getting more leaves by the day. Only type out of 3 total that a few didn't make it. about 6 out of 20 starts died or never sprouted green. Here's hoping the others do well!
