High 90% germination - using the shallow dish, wet towel, and plastic method. These WAY overperformed.

Germination close to 90% when utilizing the board trick : sow seed per packet instructions keep moist and cover with thick cardboard or wooden board to aid in successful germination. As soon as more then 50% of them sprout remove the board and continue to keep moist consistently. Was very pleased with the fresh texture and flavor. Enjoyed it raw & cooked. Definitely will grow again.

There is a reason these are a favorite, fast growing and great size!

Germinated well when covered by light dusting of fine soil, misted with water and topped with a moist flattened cardboard square anchored by bricks on the corners. Checked daily and removed cardboard when germination was apparent.

Harvested throughout summer as needed, leaving some to sweeten after first frost. Wonderful sweet, juicy & crisp even the larger late season harvests. Preferred this to the rainbow variety I also grew.
