I have never tried red okra, I am anxious to try it!

I grew these in 23 on a lark. They were a little less productive than Clemson, but just as tasty, and very attractive red color.

My first season growing okra & this was my clear favorite of the 4 different varieties I tried growing. Stay on top of harvesting or else it does get too woody to eat — but it’s good fresh & cooked! Beware of little splinters when you go to wash your harvest— not as bad as some other varieties but I did get pricked a few times. Gloves came in handy after that ;-)
