The Fresno chili pepper is a vibrant, medium-heat pepper known for its bright red color and versatile flavor. Maturing in about 70-80 days, these peppers start green and ripen to a brilliant red, with a heat level similar to jalapeños. Fresno chilis have a slightly sweeter and fruitier taste when fully ripe, making them perfect for salsas, sauces, and fresh use in salads. The plants are prolific and thrive in full sun with well-drained soil. Popular in both culinary and garden settings, Fresno chili peppers add a spicy kick and vibrant color to a variety of dishes. 2,500 to 10,000 Scoville Heat Units.
Look to have the right seed count. Fancy packaging not just a plain brown envelope. Maybe I’d have more to say if the seeds were purchased in the spring and I had a chance to check germination rate etc. but I’m tired of getting emails asking to rate and review my purchases.
I've ordered packs of seeds for several years now. I'm always happy with the quality of the seeds and the packaging used
Great for fresh eating and drying. I will purchase again.
I bought this based on Luke's recommendation as a great pepper - spicy and sweet. I have not planted it or tried it yet. I saw it was available on a big MIGardener sale, so I bought it with plans to plant it next year.

Great fertilizer. Used for the first time last year for my fall bulbs and they were stunning and strong come spring. Planting another 250 bulbs this fall so came back for more bulb fertilizer. I also use the Trifecta. Can’t go wrong with any of Luke’s amendments.
Great germination and very prolific.
I grew this in a straw bale garden in 2025 and really enjoyed it. It grew amazingly well and was beautiful, so I purchased more for 2026. Michigan zone 6b.
I have grown these for the last few years and they are hands down my favorite. I like romas and firm tomatoes. These remind me of mini romas. These are less prone to splitting, super easy to harvest and has a super great flavor and very meaty. YUM!
The cloves are large, full and heavy. Of the two cloves I kept (shared 2 with my daughter), 12 were large enough to plant, 1 will be consumed.
