Indeterminate. This tomato has been a long-standing heirloom favorite for not only the name but also the flavor. This tomato is low acid, rich in flavor, and is a stunning meaty beefsteak variety. Developed by a circus owner and doctor, this tomato was an immediate hit because of the deep tangerine-colored fruits that were unimaginably large. A delicious all-purpose variety.

Thank you for your service!

I'm Gerard from Lebanon Middle East I'm a small scale farmer and I'm happy I took the decision to start buying from you. The service and the packaging are amazing. I will definitely submit a full review after planting them.

Versatile as slicer, saucer, salad & salsa. Good Performer

Although it wasn't a great year for tomatoes in our zone 6b 2024 growing year these plants produced well and with wonderful flavor. Best enjoyed fresh off the plant sliced up on a perfect piece of buttered sourdough dough toast. But also especially tasty in a crisp cucumber salad with a vinaigrette. Exceptional in pasta sauces & hand cut salsas.

Great flavor, juicy & meaty. Will definitely grow again.

Huge, tasty, prolific

I'm gardening in suburban Ohio, Zone 6b. I decided to try out this variety in 2024, and it was a huge success! It outperformed my other two heirloom beefsteak varieties (Paul Robeson and Amish Gold Slicer), producing 66 tomatoes on one plant. And most of those tomatoes were huge, approaching (and sometimes surpassing) 1 pound each. There were no problems with cracking even during our very dry summer. No large yellow heirloom has ever been as productive in my garden, so this variety might have earned a permanent spot.

THE BEST

I will always grow Dr W! It is my favorite slicer since I first grew them at Jessica Soward's recommendation! Try them. You won't be sorry!
