Originally from Chioggia, Italy, it is difficult to find in stores.This variety is cold tolerant, making it a winner through the hardest seasons. Satisfied with shipping, can't review seeds yet. Most are for next year, but I may get some Jade Green Beans planted this week after all my beets are pulled. I planted them this spring and ended up with only 3 plants. Rabbits probably ate 3 others, never saw the rest germinate. Hoping to get some this fall! One of the 3 plants had at least 20 beans this week for the 1st pick, wow! Another variety I got from you, can't remember which, is going to go crazy this week after it rains.
Direct sowed. visible sprouts in less than a week. Growing well, look healthy.

Beets were not my thing until I tried a Chioggia Beet! This beet had the most unique flavor and colorful pattern I have ever seen. This will be a staple in my garden and I am look forward to planting more in 2025.

The bulbs were large and healthy looking. Great price also. I can’t wait for planting time.
These are like XL cherry tomatoes (1.5-2 inches wide) that taste great and are uniform in size. I will be growing more of this variety next Spring.
Though they are not named Scotch Bonnet, they are definitely as hot and fragrant as a Scotch Bonnet pepper (and I'm happy I bought them to try). I bought more packets recently to be ready for next Spring and to share with my Jamaican family!
