This Japanese heirloom is a spicy herb perfect for cooking Asian cuisine. With deep red leaves that smell like cinnamon and clove with a spicy flavor like cumin; this is a true showstopper. You can eat just the seedlings to toss into salads or grow them to maturity for more dynamic uses. A popular choice for adding color to pickling recipes. This variety loves sunshine.
* Please note! Red Shiso is toxic for grazing animals like cattle and horses. It is considered invasive in the Southeast and Midwest United States where it can self-seed aggressively in warm, humid climates.
The packet came with 150 seeds. Plenty of seeds to plant next spring. Great value.
Red Shiso
Wonderful quality, Looking forward to growing them this summer.
Great seeds and great quality, as always!
Great service
I just planted them and they look beautiful so far
Excellent Germination!
One of my favorite things to grow is spinach, I grow mostly in containers so I like to try and get as much as possible out of my small garden. This variety definitely does that. I get massive leaves and fill up a gallon sized ziplock bag relatively quickly every week when the harvest begins.
Germination went very well, popped up within a few days. Growing well!
Nice I like it. Its perfect
