AnnualPinkeye Purple Hull cowpea bean is a Southern heirloom variety celebrated for its prolific yields and rich, nutty flavor. The plants produce light green pods that turn purple when mature, typically in about 60-70 days. Inside, the beans have a distinctive pink eye. Thriving in warm climates, these cowpeas are drought-tolerant and ideal for summer planting. They are excellent for fresh eating, canning, and freezing, commonly used in traditional Southern dishes like Hoppin' John. In addition to their culinary uses, Pinkeye Purple Hull cowpeas improve soil health by fixing nitrogen, making them a valuable crop for sustainable gardening.
These germinated and grew well. Unfortunately, we didn't get any beans because a groundhog ate all the tops.

This is my second year ordering the bare root strawberry plants, and I will say these are the healthiest plant starts!! I will order again
I loved my Chandler Blueberries. I have had it for a year now. As a beginner blueberry grower, I loved how easily it is to maintain the plant in its healthy state. I live in Zone 7. It lived through its first winter snow, and sprouted back up in Spring, just shows how cold-hardy it can be. It is now slowly blooming. Hopefully in the next few years it will produce me some juicy blueberries!
Not so great raw, but awesome sautéed and in soups! Grows great in warm climate. It takes a while to get started, but once it takes off, it doesn't stop! Very easy for new gardeners ❣️
Once the bare root arrived, I immediately saw a sprout growing from the tip. I was pleasantly surprised it had gone out of dormancy. It is currently growing healthy green foliage outside in part shade and full sun. I see a few grape clusters though unfortunately I have to cut them, so the plant’s roots fully establish.
I've been using Trifecta plus since just about the beginning when it first came out. The results have been excellent. I've actually only used Miracle Grow before and with this product I can feel good about what's going in to the food and the nutrition level, thanks Migardener!
