Long Purple eggplant is an Italian heirloom variety prized for its slender, deep purple fruits and tender, mild flavor. Each glossy eggplant grows 8–10 inches long, perfect for slicing, roasting, grilling, or adding to stir-fries. The compact, productive plants thrive in warm, sunny conditions and are ideal for small gardens or container growing. Harvest in about 70–80 days for a steady supply of delicious, versatile eggplants all season long.
Perfect! Started them inside in Feb and had nearly 100% germination rate! Can't wait to see how they produce but so far so good!
All the seeds I planted have come up and growing well. Looking forward to planting in the garden and getting a harvest. First time growing this variety.
Germinating is 100% , that’s all I can say for now. Seedlings are looking good.
good germination
Long Purple Eggplant
Amazing germination rates!! I started the whole package since I needed at least 20 pepper plants for my spring plant sale and my heat mat was being used for hot peppers. I think every one of them germinated, so I'm now overrun with Keystone Bell peppers - not a bad problem to have.
I only have these seeds started inside at the moment. Germination was good, and true leaves have started. I greatly appreciate the wax paper envelope inside to contain the tiny seeds.
Started the cosmos indoors, and they are huge and blooming already. I’ll be transplanting them in the garden next week. I love the bright white flowers. They are gorgeous and will be perfect for my pollinator patch.
Great seeds!
I started germinating these in cells (2 per cell) and all of them have come up so far. Getting ready to transplant them and will stick them in the ground in about a month. Really looking forward to how they look with the other hollyhock varieties I purchased!
