15,000-30,000 SHU. From Peru, The Lemon Drop is a spicy and tangy seasoning pepper with a fruity lemony flavor and aroma. Fruits grow up to 2” long and dry well. This variety is an extremely rare find outside of South America. Its origin makes it heat tolerant giving it the ability to produce high numbers of fruit throughout the heat of summer!
Very productive plant with an excellent heat similar to a serrano, crisp and juicy thin wall, and a fruit forward citrusy flavor.
Would highly recommend for any culinary garden as these are (in my opinion) better tasting than a serrano and will stand up texturally to a long stew (where a serrano tends to melt into it).
Also makes killer salsa!
Grew these for the first time last year. These have a great crisp flavor with a hint of citrus. My favorite part was there were very few seeds. These made a great hot sauce and the color is just gorgeous. Will be growing these every year.
These grew really well, but I did not start harvesting until October in Maryland 7A. I got a huge harvest. They have a great citrus/passion fruit/pineapple taste to them which made them amazing in salsa. They also are VERY hot (or my plant was) more along the lines of a mild habanero. They freeze and dry well. Start early as they take longer to mature than jalapeños, etc.
We grew only one of these and it produced literally hundreds of peppers. They were super hot but very good. We use these in venison sausage (hot) and spicy dishes. They dry up nice if you want to keep them for future torment on your taste buds LOL
Good germination rate and heavy fruit set once summer heat arrived. Looking forward to making hot sauce!
This game is so much fun, it's so unique, and it definitely keeps with the cabin fever in winter when we'd rather be out in the garden. Also the quality of it is better than any card or board game I've ever bought. Highly recommend!
Bought these seeds for Christmas and could not wait for spring to start them. They have been growing in my hydroponics now for about a month and with the cut and come again method I've been harvesting for about 2 weeks. The seeds have great germination. Kids and chickens are enjoying them.
I'm not just saying this because I am from the great state of New York, but the New Yorker tomato from MI Gardener is stupendous....It almost over-performed last summer (is that even possible?) I can't wait to get started with them again this year.!!
I used revive Rex last year with excellent outcomes. I wanted you to make sure I have it on had for this gardening season.
Delicious and prolific.I'll plant this on repeat!
